Red Hawk Ranch Gearing up for 2018 Show Season

As we all thaw out from a very cold start to 2018, its time to start looking forward to another great year of events at Red Hawk Ranch.

We are starting the year off with a Schooling Combined Test Show Sunday, March 4 here at the ranch. You can find the prize list at https://www.redhawkranch.org/events. We will offer everything from Elementary (2') to Preliminary divisions (3'6") so everyone can find a division that works for them and their horse. The Dressage tests will be in the indoor arena (20 x 40M) and the stadium jumping will be out on the grassy field next to the arena. We hope this gives everyone a great opportunity to come and get their horses ready for competition for 2018.

Red Hawk Ranch is also offering a great day of fun as a raffle prize at the North Texas Hunter Jumper Association banquet January 27 at the Westin Stonebriar. The raffle prize is good for a day of schooling (indoor and outdoor arenas), trail riding and swimming at the ranch for a local barn which includes up to 12 rider/horse combinations. The package also includes a wonderful lunch catered by the ranch. So, get ready to bid on this wonderful prize at the banquet!

June 17 - Dallas Hunter Jumper Scholarship Circuit Show - Father's Day Fishing Tournament

July 29 - North Texas Hunter Jumper Association Show - Fishing Tournament

September 30 - Dallas Hunter Jumper Scholarship Circuit Show

We are also planning on a Clinton Anderson Clinician clinic teaching the Fundamentals method sometime in April or May. Stay tuned for more information. Ground work is the safest and fastest way to get a respectful horse on the ground and in the saddle. Plus, its a lot of fun too!

We are also working with the North Texas Whip association to host a couple of their cart driving events - nothing cuter then minis pulling carts!

And we continue to work with Natalie and Kris on their mounted shooting practices.
