NEW RV HOOKUPS AT RED HAWK RANCH
Red Hawk Ranch continues to make improvements for our guests and clients!
In 2018, Red Hawk Ranch will offer 3 new trailer RV hookups. Each pad will have water, electric (30 amp) and a dump line to the septic system. They will rent for $50/night and the price includes 2 horse pens per pad hookup located near the trailers. The pads will be under the tree canopy for maximum shade and comfort. Reservations will be on a first come first serve basis so when you are registering for shows and events, be sure to reserve the pads when you send in your entries. Or you can call me directly to reserve. Further improvements include new sand in the indoor arena and better signage to help you find the ranch.
We are super excited for the 2018 show season. We are starting the year March 4 with a Combined Test event (dressage and jumping) - a great schooling opportunity for those gearing up the eventing year and also for people who want to try their hand at dressage and field jumping. We working with the North Texas Eventing Association to offer points for the show as well. You can find the prize list at www.redhawkranch.or/events.
March 25 we host the NTHJC with a new Rusty Stirrup division, great awards, gourmet food and special treats for trainers. We cleared the pond of weeds and debris all winter and worked on the water quality so right now the pond looks great, clear and sky blue under the Texas sun.
June 17 we host the DHJSC Horse Show on Father's Day. Beyond the great riding and competition, we will also offer the annual Father's Day Fishing Tournament again. Last year, we gave away two $50 Bass Pro gift certificates to the angler who caught the most fish by weight and the angler who caught the biggest fish!
July 29 we host the 2nd annual NTHJC "Summer Fun" Horse Show. This was our biggest event with over 120 entries. We will have more fun classes like Ride A Buck planned so bring your A game. We will also have a new bridge obstacle built over the water in the pond - great for teaching your horse to enjoy the trail.
September 30 we host another DHJSC Horse Show with large hunters and jumpers in the indoor ring and 2' - 2'3" riders in the outdoor ring. At the last DHJSC show, riders really enjoyed swimming with their horses in the pond as parents looked on with excitement.
We are also putting together some horsemanship clinics this year as well. Check our website regularly for dates.
